I love Gorilla! When he sneaks the keys away from the zookeeper, it's the start of a nighttime adventure for everyone at the zoo. This nearly wordless picture book lets you make up the story in your own words.

The three Billy Goats Gruff are too clever for the mean, ugly troll that doesn't want them crossing his bridge.  This is a current favorite, but all of Paul Galdone's classic tales are a big hit in our house.

It's fun to be able to pick out all of the animals, colors, shapes, body parts, and movements that I already know!

Annie's cat disappears one cold winter day, and though Annie tries to invite a new friend with her corn cakes, all she gets are a lot of big, grumpy wild animals! I love the pictures in the margins as much as the main story illustrations. Another favorite by Jan Brett is The Mitten.
