The Galaxy Bookshop welcomes Elaine Magalis, author of the Vermont mystery, The Body in the Butter Churn.
When a meeting in the Old Shrubsbury School House Museum ends with the discovery of Agatha Hamilton’s body in the Star butter churn, the museum’s elderly caretaker and her 12-year-old assistant decide that they’re uniquely qualified to investigate Old Aggie’s death. Besides, they reason, the murderer will never guess that a dithery old lady and a nerdy kid are after him. Will he?
Shadowy figures haunt the old museum building, as the two learn that every mystery leads to another more unlikely one, and that some very evil people live in their town.
Elaine Magalis writes, gardens, plays the piano and grows older in West Glover, Vermont. She was a writer and producer for many years for national and global church agencies. More recently she worked as a desktop publisher and as education coordinator for a museum not unlike this one.
