The Galaxy Bookshop is pleased to welcome Bill McKibben on Thursday, June 3, at 7 p.m., to discuss and sign his new book, Eaarth: Making a Life on a Tough New Planet.
No doubt, when he wrote The End of Nature, McKibben held some hope that the warnings he and other environmentalists were issuing would awaken people to the threat of global warming. Twenty years later, the great changes to our world are not only inevitable but underway, and McKibben now writes with an eye to survival on a planet that has been damaged by our own excesses.
