The dates are set: Our 4th Annual Read-a-Thon to benefit Hardwick Head Start and Early Head Start will take place the night of September 30th-October 1st. This is an all ages event!
WHAT YOU GIVE: Collect pledges to support your all-night reading marathon. All proceeds go to support the Head Start programs, which offer children in our community a strong foundation of learning that will carry with them throughout their lives. WHAT YOU GET: One whole night of reading (with some games, food, and prizes thrown in for good measure).
Registration forms are available to download below; you can also pick
them up at the store. A pledge sheet is included for keeping track of
pledges promised and received.
The deadline for registration is September 26.
We are looking for volunteers to chaperone our younger readers. A volunteer sign up sheet is available below. We are also in need of donations of food or money to buy food to keep readers fueled through the night.
Here's an easy way to support your local library and your local bookstore! The Cabot Public Library and Greensboro Free Library have both posted wish lists of books they would like to add to their collections.
