Actor Edgar Davis and poet David Budbill will honor the memory of Martin Luther King\, Jr. by reading passages from Dr. King's works at our new Main Street location on Monday morning\, beginning at 10\:00. This event is planned to last one hour and will mark the first event to be held in the new Galaxy Bookshop space. The new store front is at 41 South Main Street\, between the Buffalo Mountain Co-op and Claire's Restaurant.
Following the reading\, we will begin our Book Parade to move books from the old bank building up to their new home.

Everyone is welcome to help--as the saying goes\, many hands make light work. Each helper will be given a manageable load of books to carry up the street and deliver to our team of shelvers. We plan to have a couple of people assisting with street-crossings\, for safety's sake.
